Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
How are you everybody? Hope you are fine and busy with your jobs and businesses .The first of all please let me introduce you to know my verbal biography:
My name is Khoun Vuthy (Pronounced: Vootee ) I was born in the beginning year 1975,during that time I had 3 elder sisters, parents and I was the youngest baby. In the same year 1975, It was very bad time in Cambodia, because of Khmer Rough (vicious red soldiers came to power ) and also My Sad Cambodia country was isolated from the world, no connection of anything, during 3 year,8 months and 20 days Pol Pot’s absolute power and his vicious soldiers killed more than 3 millions people in the whole of the country.
After liberation day there were more than 3 million peoples remained from the killing, also lucky for my own family, my parents ,3 elder sisters were alive and all of us moved back to live at floating village in the south of Siem Reap Province a round 15km. In 1985 I entered primary and in 1990 continued in secondary school, in 1993 continued high school in Siem Reap Province….in year 1994 my study was not successful because of family’s business was bankrupted later I supported nothing from my parents. I was very busy at that time and no regular time for school…when free in the afternoon from learning in state school ,I made the money by driving motorbike by carrying the local passengers between Lake Ton le sap ( largest fresh water lake in South East Asia ) and Siem Reap province…however I’ve never forgotten my English, I thought that only English could support me.
In the evening I provided time to teach English lessons to my students and also to have self-improvement to be better for English communication for work, After 10-11-12 years of teaching my English has been available for communication. Luckily in 1999 I passed officially and started work as English speaking tour guide since from December/1999 till nowadays. In year 2000,I went to work in mine fields in the North East of Siem Reap province as interpreter with foreigners and local domineers to help Cambodia country to be safe ,during that time the demining activities were supported by Princess Diana from UK and also from international communitie. I was happy to work there too.After working as tour guide for a few years I also started leaning in private university called BBU ( Build Bright University ) the subject learning a bout the School of Tourism Hospitality and Management…nowadays I am still working as tour guide and helping some people in the world who wish to visit here and let me to manage the program for them.
Introduction about Vuthy
In my Cambodia country has a lot of beautiful sites: Such as Angkor Wat the world heritage site (it was built by king Soriya Varman the second dedicated to the god Vishnu ) this temple is the largest one and one of the seven wonder of the world. The tourists who came to visit Cambodia , most of them came to visit ancient cities in Siem Reap province where I am living. Siem Reap has so beautiful sites such as : Angkor wat temple, Angkor Thom (great city) Bayon ( the gently smile with down case eyes faces ), Baphoun, Royal englosure, Phimean Akas (this one built for Shiva god ) Royal bath, Prah Palilay, Tep pranam, Elephant –Leper king terraces ,Prasat sour Prat, Big Buddha statues ,Vihear Pram Pi Lveng. Kravann Prasat, Srah Srang (the royal bath) Banteay kdei, Ta prom ( the jungle temples where tourists like to visit very much ) Takeov, Chaosay Tevoda, Thommanaon and Victory gate of Angkor Thom city. Prah Khan , Neak Pean ( the coiled serpent temple also one of one hundred and two hospital built for public treatment by king JAYAVARMAN VII ) Tasom, East Mebon , Pre Rup. In the east of Siem Reap, we have Rolouse group with temples: Lolei ,Prah ko ( sacred bull ) Bakong. Kulen ( the national park which is located in the north east of Siem Reap province,on the top of this Kulen mountain has a lot of temples and beautiful water fall.
In the south of Siem Reap we have the great lake Ton le Sap ( the largest fresh water lake in south east asia, it used to be the very deep ocean with salty water for several hundred million years a go and now is fresh ,because of the natural conversion from salty tobe fresh with lot of fish in side. On the way from Siem Reap to open lake you will see the local people who own the green rice fields on the way what are they doing and you will see their houses built raised on stilts and got flooded in the rainy season : the floating villages in the south of Siem Reap such as : Kampong Pluk the best destination for tourists to study the local lives of the people who live there since from long time ago.In the west of Siem Reap has a lot of beautiful places too, such as The historical irrigation system was built by earlier king of Angkor called Baray Khang Lex ( western Baray ) the water in this largest man made lake is still be used today . It can hold more than 50 millions cubic meters in the rainy season, beautiful rice fields,local houses, silk farm and extra. Please come to visit my Cambodia country, this country now is very safe, No war at all ,No conflict between local people. In this good chance please let me introduce you to know clearly a bout this After liberation day ,this country was under Vietnamese occupation..and the Vietnamese soldiers left from Cambodia in 1989 …later in 1991 we had Paris peace accord and year 1992 King Norodom Shihanuk came to Cambodia and year 1993 we had the first constitutional election was organized by UNTAC (United Nations Transitional in Cambodia ( the UN worked with good jobs to compromise the Cambodia political faction teams to work to gether….but red soldiers who belong to Pol Pot were still fignting a gain with government troop . But the number of Pol Pot less and less and year 1998 our current priminister HUN SEN who negociated with them to finish civil war in Cambodia and after finished war ….no fighting inside our country , our government under his leadership tried to do whatever to make good cooperation between inside and out side the country.
In 1999 our priminister Hun Sen made declaration to all the people in world ,please come to visit our Cambodia, and he also put his opened sky political sratigy …. and the government of Cambodia tried to do wharever to provide good safe security for tourists accommodation , from that time we could see the numbers of tourist more in creasing from year to year and in year 2007 there were more than 2000000 tourists arrival Cambodia.
